Binary data can be written to the ESP's flash chip via the serial writeflash command: esptool.py -port COM4 writeflash 0x1000 myapp-0x01000.bin Multiple flash addresses and file names can be given on the same command line: esptool.py -port COM4 writeflash 0x00000 myapp.elf-0x00000.bin 0x40000 myapp.elf-0x40000.bin. I managed to flash to AT ver 0.5.0.0 using ESP8266 DOWNLOAD TOOL (as you describe above) with the default settings. My next step was to integrate with Blynk ( www.blynk.cc ), their support forums recommend the latest AT version (1.1 or higher) as stable. Download the “Flash Download Tool” from Espressif's site (or here). If you just need the 4 bin files, we put them in a zip file for your convenience.
